The previous version of this site had been built using a WordPress theme builder, but was underperforming. It scored poorly on Google Speed Test, had a confusing backend, and utilized a bloated code base that was challenging to update and optimize.

To tackle these issues, I re-wrote the theme from scratch, and while keeping the general look and feel, I built a custom-coded and purpose-built theme using my own CSS Framework. I worked closely with the organization to understand their workflow and optimized the backend experience to make it more user-friendly.

Moreover, I leveraged custom WordPress PHP to streamline several of the more tedious tasks related to the site while enhancing its visual appeal. Consequently, the site now performs exceptionally well on Speed Test, and the backend is easy for staff to manage.

I did the same for Spanish and Portuguese versions of the site, ensuring the theme was properly set up for translation.

My expertise and attention to detail helped me transform a poorly performing site into a reliable and high-performing platform that aligns with the organization’s goals and serves its users better.
